Meet the Crew

Shantam founded Gateway workshops to help members of his community in India gain a global set of perspectives and mentorship opportunities. He is currently a management consultant in Deloitte’s Mergers and Acquisitions consulting practice in Los Angeles. Shantam is passionate about increasing the competitiveness of members of diverse communities when applying for educational or professional experiences. He loves connecting with individual members and providing them the mentorship they need to excel in their field of choice. In his free time, Shantam loves to play cricket and golf, and watch his Los Angeles Rams Football team score touchdowns!

Devansh is a senior at Grinnell college double majoring in computer science and economics. He joined the Gateway team to learn how to effectively recruit for internships and full-time jobs while providing those same opportunities to other students in India. Acknowledging how his communities in India helped him throughout his high school days, he is passionate about giving back and staying connected. In his free time, Devansh likes to play and watch soccer.
Devansh Chandgothia

Devishi is a senior at the University of Pennsylvania studying Economics and Cognitive Science. She joined Gateway to pay it forward and help others in her community achieve their goals by sharing experiences and resources. She believes finding mentors and building a network really accelerates your professional development journey. In her free time, Devishi loves to play pick-up basketball and cook different cuisines from around the world!
Deveshi Sharda

Palak joined the Gateway Team to get a head start on any opportunities in front of her by constructively understanding what to look out for in college and use the right tools to reach out by learning the art of networking. This, she is also excited to provide to her peers. She is currently in her final year at FLAME University, Pune.Â
Palak has a zealous attitude towards taking up leadership opportunities and providing for her ‘team’. Along with this, she has a keen interest in studying human nature and pointing out the need of the hour. In her free time, Palak loves to shuffle into her favorite dance moves, or discover new genres of music online.

Gisele Abalos
Giselle Abalos is a Recruiter at a boutique recruiting firm in West Los Angeles. After graduating from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies, Giselle spent two years working in higher education as an Academic Advisor for UCLA’s Psychology Department. Giselle is passionate about being an integral part of one's career journey, and she is now using her social media platform to empower and educate individuals through their job search process by interviewing different people about their career path. Khiry Kemp
Khiry Kemp serves as a Co-Executive Director at Building Bloc. He earned his Bachelors’ degree in International Development from UCLA and worked as a Management Consultant at Deloitte. Having been raised in a low-income community, Khiry has made it his personal mission to help students overcome adversity and realize their potential. From authoring a youth-entrepreneurship book to creating a software company for high school students, Khiry is energized by supporting the college and career development of tomorrow’s leaders. In terms of hobbies, Khiry enjoys playing chess and snowboarding.
Weston Seid
Weston Seid is a co-founder of Oppti. He holds a bachelor degree from University of Southern California in Business Administration with an emphasis in entrepreneurship and finance. In addition to Oppti, Weston also serves his community as Commissioner for the City of Westminster in California. He’s also the author of ‘Starting Your Own Microbusiness,’ a book that shares ways for entrepreneurs to start small, move fast, and think big. In his free time, he enjoys adventures with his Chihuahua – Potato, and finding new experiences.
